Senior Interior Designer

Laurie is from Colorado Springs, CO, but has called areas all over the Front Range home. She attended the University of Colorado in Boulder for an undergraduate degree in Environmental Design, and planted roots in Denver after receiving her Master’s in Architecture from from CU Denver. Laurie has experience in all ranges of design- from ground-up architecture to tenant finish commercial work- which have all come in handy with the many hats required as a Senior Designer at Studio 10. She has a passion for experience-based design and placemaking and loves the impact thoughtfully designed spaces have on end-users.

Dream Job as a Kid:

I’ve wanted to be a designer for a long time… I think since middle school. But before that, a marine biologist – save the whales!

Bucket List Item:

I dream for a mountain home someday, a place we can do long weekends and our kids will know as their Christmas headquarters. My husband is on the GC side and it’s a dream that we could design and build something together…and hopefully not kill each other in the process!

Bookshelf Snapshot:

I just recently read Unreasonable Hospitality and loved it. Such great lessons on both work and life. I often think about his "95% budget, 5% splurge" rule and finding space for ‘oxygen’ …a practice to balance life with work.

Start with kindness, listen more than you speak, know that you can figure anything out, make it work!
